Waste as a moral feeling rather than an economic one: the quiet regret of letting something with life left in it go unused.

Experience a culture lesson yourself →日本人の言動には、表面だけを見ると「なぜそんな遠回しな言い方をするのか」「なぜ本音をすぐ言わないのか」と戸惑うことが多くあります。でもその背景には、和を乱さないことを優先する価値観、集団の中での自分の立場を意識する感覚、相手の気持ちを言葉にせずとも察しようとする文化などが根底にあります。
Haruno Academyでは、言葉を通して、日本人の考え方を学びます。
多くの日本人自身がこうした価値観を無意識のうちに内面化していて、言語化されて初めて「自分がなぜそう感じるのか」に気づきます。
この日本人の根本にある考え方を学ぶことが日本人自体への理解につながり、日本人とのスムーズなコミュニケーションスタイルに繋がると考えています。
Seen only from the surface, Japanese behaviour can be puzzling: why the indirect phrasing, why the reluctance to say what someone really thinks. Underneath it sit values that put harmony first, a constant awareness of one's place within a group, and a culture of sensing how the other person feels without being told. At Haruno Academy you learn the Japanese way of thinking through the language itself. Most Japanese have internalised these values unconsciously, and only when the words are given to them do they realise why they feel the way they do. Learning the thinking at the root is what leads to understanding the people, and to communication with them that finally feels smooth.
Every instructor has completed the Haruno Method training, designed to teach not just language, but the culture and heart behind every word. Your instructor and our team review your progress after every lesson, so nothing falls through the cracks.

Absolutely. Most of our students learn Japanese simply because they love Japan: its culture, its people, its way of seeing the world. You don't need a test score or a deadline to start. Curiosity is more than enough.
Within a few months, many students can hold simple conversations, read basic signs and menus, and connect with Japanese people in a way that transforms their experience of Japan. Beyond the practical, you'll also start to understand the thinking and feeling behind the language, which changes how you see Japan entirely.
Yes. A large portion of our students are in their 40s to 60s, and many return to Japanese after years or even decades away from studying. Our program is designed specifically for adult learners who want meaningful progress without stress.
